CARTHAGE — Carthage swept past Springfield Central 25-7, 25-14 Thursday night on the Tigers' Senior Night.
Senior
Ava Petticrew led Carthage with 10 kills and three service aces. Junior
Alexa Boyle chipped in seven kills, while senior
Jillian Brunnert contributed 14 digs and senior
Gracie Fagg handed out 26 assists.
The Tigers closed out the regular season with a 27-6 record ahead of next week's district tournament. Springfield Central dipped to 4-20-2.
After having no seniors a season ago, Carthage celebrated 10 veterans on Thursday: Petticrew, Brunnert, Fagg,

Grace Schweigert,
Riley Kabance,
Abbey Ling,
Alyssa Talley and
A.C. Crockford.
"I've had a couple of them on varsity for three years," Carthage coach
Tony Allmoslecher said. "This is basically the same team we had last year. It's a great group of girls."
The top-seeded Tigers play the Joplin-Neosho winner in the Class 4 District 11 semifinal round at 5 p.m. Thursday at Joplin High School.
