FARMINGTON — Five wrestlers went undefeated on Saturday as Carthage finished second in the Farmington Duals wrestling meet on Saturday.
The Tigers, who won last year's event, went 4-1 in their duals to finish second in the tournament behind Farmington. Carthage lost its dual against Farmington by a 33-28 score. Farmington won its other four duals by at least 12 points.
Carthage wrestlers posting 5-0 records on Saturday were Braxdon Tate at 106 pounds, Dagan Sappington at 126, Dalen Moore at 132, Kale Schrader at 220 and Brender Ocana at 285.
Moore and Ocana each registered three pins during the day, and Tate, Sappington and Schrader all had two falls.
The Tigers' Tanner Russow also logged three pins while going 4-1 at 120 pounds. Also finishing 4-1 were Anderson Ixcol at 145 and Brandon Crow at 170.
Carlos Reyes and Trulyn Kendrick went 3-2 at 113 and 160 pounds, respectively.
Carthage has a home match Tuesday night against Joplin before competing in the Harrisonville Holiday Tournament next weekend.
