CARTHAGE, Mo. — Carthage improved to 5-1 on the season after earning a nonconference victory over Clever.
Carthage led 45-32 after three periods of play. The Tigers held the visitors to single-digit scoring in each of the final three quarters.
Patrick Carlton scored 17 points to lead Carthage, while
Taris Jackson added 11.
Tucker Downing,
Alex Martini and
Tyler Mueller all contributed eight points apiece for
Steve Ray's squad.
Carthage plays Lamar at 10 a.m. today at the 4-States Challenge at Webb City.
