CARTHAGE - Carthage ended its tournament on a high note, defeating Hillcrest 54-35 in the fifth-place game.
The Tigers outscored the Hornets 16-3 in the first quarter and pushed the advantage to 22 in the third.
Hailey Fullerton led the Tigers with 13 points, while Jillian Brunnert and Sierrah Negrette each tallied nine.
Chloe Sutherland finished with eight points, while Sarah Hale and Madison Shafferkoetter each had six for the Hornets.
The Lady Tigers return to action on Monday night when they host East Newton at 5:30.
