WILLARD — Willard swept a girl-boy COC doubleheader from Carthage on Friday night.
Carthage's girls were unable to dig themselves out of an early hole, as Willard rode a fast start to a 64-31 win.
The host Tigers raced out to a 28-7 lead by the end of the first period. Willard led 40-13 at intermission and 54-20 after three quarters.
Jillian Brunnert and Riley Kabance scored six points apiece to lead Carthage (12-10, 2-4 COC). Kaitlyn Burson scored 14 points and Megan Mahan added 11 for Willard (13-10, 2-4 COC).

In the nightcap, Willard's boys scored the first 13 points of the game and never looked back in an 87-45 win over Carthage.
The host Tigers were up 22-10 by the end of the opening period of play. Willard took a 42-20 lead into halftime.
Alex Martini scored 11 points to pace Carthage (11-11, 2-4 COC), while Patrick Carlton and Taris Jackson added 10 apiece. Daniel Abreu poured in 37 points to lead Willard (14-8, 4-2 COC), while Maurice Grayer added 23.
