CARTHAGE — Ozark (15-11) scored early and often en route to its victory over Carthage (14-10) on Thursday at Carl Lewton Stadium.
Ozark used four pitchers in the game — Dylan Frandsen, Rylie Sundlie, Jake Skaggs and Hunter Tennison — and limited Carthage to four hits.
With Carthage ace
Trason Vogt on the mound, Ozark scored three runs in the top of the first inning when on Skaggs' three-run homer run to right field. Ozark went on to plate one run apiece in the fourth and sixth innings, and then capped its day with another three-run showing in the seventh.
Ozark finished with eight hits and was led by Carson O'Brien, who went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI.
Vogt paced Carthage with two singles in four plate appearances.
