BRANSON — A four-run showing in the top of the 10th inning lifted Carthage to a 6-2 triumph over Branson on Tuesday at Branson High School.
The Tigers (15-9) tallied 11 hits in the game, with four coming in the 10th to break away from a 2-2 tie with the Pirates (6-18).
With two outs in the inning and the bases loaded,
Zeke Sappington registered an infield single to plate one run for a 3-2 Carthage lead.
Tanner Green was hit by a pitch to plate another run before
Kaden Kralicek singled up the middle to drive in two more runs for a 6-2 advantage.
Kralicek finished 2-for-5 with two RBI while
Trason Vogt went 3-for-4 with one run scored.
Kale Schrader logged two hits, including one double, and one walk in five plate appearances. Schrader started on the mound for the Tigers and tossed seven innings, limiting Branson to two earned runs on five hits. Vogt relieved Schrader at the start of the eighth inning and tossed the final three frames, holding the Pirates hitless while striking out seven batters.
