CARTHAGE - Tuesday night the Carthage Tigers Lady Tigers Tennis team hosted the Branson Pirates. The match would also double as Senior Night for the CHS squad. In addition to the Lady Tigers celebrating their seniors, they earned a hard fought 5-4 victory over Branson. In #1 doubles Bailey Rodebush and Hadley Hicklin won 8-4. In singles action, #1 singles Bailey Rodebush won 8-1; #2 singles Hadley Hicklin won 8-0; #4 singles Isabelle Johnston won 8-6; and #5 singles Lucy Butler won 8-4.
The Lady Tigers finish the regular season next week starting on Monday at Mt. Vernon. On Tuesday they are at Webb City and Wednesday compete in the COC Tournament at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield. Friday they'll finish up the week competing in the Thomas Jefferson Invitational.
The week of October 7 they will host the individual format district tournament.
