CARTHAGE - Carthage High School hosted a dual wrestling tournament on Dec. 29. When all was said and done, the host Tigers finished fourth.
Carthage defeated Lee's Summit 32-28 and beat Raymore-Peculiar 42-30. Hickman defeated Carthage 43-36 and Nixa topped Carthage 39-32.
Nixa went 3-1 and was the first place team.

Kenny Brown explained that three teams tied for second place, but after tie-breakers were used, Lee's Summit was awarded second, Hickman third and Carthage fourth. Ray-Pec finished fifth.
Carthage was open at 106, 182, 195 and 220.
Individually, Carthage's
Dylan Huntley (113 pounds),
Grey Petticrew (145) and
Braxdon Tate (152) all went 4-0 in their respective brackets.
