JOPLIN - The Tigers joined 15 other teams on May 10 in Joplin at the Schifferdecker Golf Course for the Class 5 District 3 tournament. When the day had concluded, The Carthage High links team finished middle of the pack in 7th place tie with Kickapoo scoring a 338. The Tigers were paced by Grant Riley who carded an 81, qualifying him for the state tournament next week in Sedalia at its Country Club.
Teammate Britten Coy just missed the cut shooting an 82. The rest of the CHS team rounded out scoring with Owen Derryberry (86), Tyler Phillips (89), and Quinn Brewer (94).
