NIXA – The Carthage High School girls and boys cross country teams gathered with all the COC schools on Tuesday to hold the 2022 COC Cross Country Meet in Nixa at Inman Elementary. By race time in the afternoon, the day was arguable the coldest of the season with temps in the 40's.
Despite the cool weather, the boys team placed 4th with freshman
Devin Smith being the top Tiger placing 16thearning a medal. Several Tigers came in soon thereafter as junior Eddie Fuentes (22nd), seniors
Michael Lanyon (23rd) and
Miguel Solano (24th), and
Caleb Fewin (26th) helped CHS in the team standings.

Maggie Boyd paced the Carthage effort by placing 6th, good for an All-COC medal. The CHS team effort was supported by Katy Witherspoon (24th),
Jennifer Rodas-Gomez (39th),
Jenna Wilson (42nd), and
Kimberly Monterroso (54th). The Lady Tigers placed 8th as a team.
