SEDALIA - Carthage High School senior
Addie Foust competed at the Class 4 Girls State Golf Tournament in Sedalia Monday and Tuesday. Day 1 saw an extremely windy day where all golfers struggled to keep scores low. Foust carded a first round 82. Day 2 brought cool temps but a nice day. Foust responded by shooting a 71, second lowest round of the day to finish with a two day score of 153, good for a tie for 7th place. She capped off the low round with an eagle from 82 yards out on her final hole of the tournament. Her score qualified her as Class 4 All-State. She's the first girls golfer for CHS to finish all-state since Hailey Bryant did it in 2021.
Foust plans to attend MSSU and golf for the Lady Lions golf team.
