Trason Vogt hurled a complete game shutout as Carthage beat Republic 3-0 in a COC baseball clash at Carl Lewton Stadium
Vogt scattered four hits and fanned eight. The team's leadoff hitter, Vogt also went 2-for-3 with two RBI at the plate.
The Tigers (12-5) plated a run in the fourth, as Vogt doubled to center and courtesy runner
Caden Kabance later scored on
Bryce Pugh's groundout.
One inning later, Vogt delivered a two-run single to center, scoring
Grant Collier and
Kaden Kralicek.
Republic's Jared Hughes took the loss, but only allowed two earned runs on four hits while striking out seven.
Carthage will host Neosho at 4:30 on Tuesday.
