LEE'S SUMMIT — Carthage traveled to the Kansas City metro area for their opening match of the Class 5 District 7 Tournament on Thursday. First round matches were held at two sites within the Lee's Summit School District with the Tigers playing at Lee's Summit High School. Seeded #6, the Tigers had a first round matchup with #3 seeded St. Teresa's Academy. 
The Stars fought off Carthage early set leads and ended the season for Carthage as the Tigers fell 11-25, 14-25, 15-25. Carthage ended the season with an overall record of 9-21-2.
