Girls Track: Lady Tigers Host COC Meet, Place 8th

CARTHAGE - Battling weather as well as their COC opponents, the Carthage High School track teams hosted the annual COC Track Meet on Friday. Originally scheduled for Thursday, heavy rains and storms postponed the event to Friday. Under clouds and cool weather, the meet was able to be run of in its entirety.
Girls team standings:

Leading the way for CHS was junior Joey Hettinger who was the runner-up in the high jump (1.55m).
Also placing for the Lady Tigers was the CHS 4×100 relay team of Aven Willis, Sydnee Dudolski, Lexa Youngblood and Hettinger finished third. The Tigers were fourth in the 4×200 relay, with Willis, Dudolski, Ashlyn Brust and Youngblood competing. 
Carthage will head to Carl Junction on Saturday to compete in the Class 5 District 6 Track Meet.
